I got the scottish rite southern jurisdiction award in afjrotc, Am I somehow connected to the freemasons?

I was In the Air Force Junior For 3 years. I left it my Junior year last year and at the awards banquet I received the Scottish rite southern jurisdiction award which I found out was a freemason award. Now, the Freemasons and the illuminati kinda freak me out but does this award mean that I have some sort of Connection to them?

The Southern Jurisdiction of the Scottish Rite Freemasons has sponsored the award, that is all. You have no connection to them at all, and they may not have even been involved in your selection.

Seriously, do some legitimate research if you are ‘freeked out’ by the Masons, especially since they have no connection to the supposed ‘Illuminati’ at all. Do NOT Just listen to what you read online, which is largely populated by superstition and nonsense with little basis in fact. The Masons, in this day and age, are a fraternal organization which works to support worthy causes (in your case, supporting the work of the ROTC).

But for now, you can sleep easy, the Freemasons will not be coming to eat your first born. (Really, that is one of the nonsense myths out there)

Ha ha ha hahahahaha, we finally got you!!! You are in for life now. Ha ha ha ha.

Just kidding. You are not a Freemason nor are you eligible to become one since you are under age. You simply got recognized by the Scottish Rite which is a masonic body. Congratulations.

P.S. There is no reason to bre freaked out by the Freemasons. Do some research but try to avoid the conspiracy nuts out there. They only spout lies. Also, the Illuminati died out shortly after their formation in Bavaria, hundreds of years ago.

Congratulations. You have no connection to Masonry other than that they recognized your accomplishments in High School and gave you an award.
If the Masons want you as one of them they will invite you to join.
If they freak you out – stay away, or learn what Masonry is all about.
I am unfamiliar with The Illuminati. What is it?

  4. cl_freemason Says:

    1) you are not a freemason, nor a scottish rite mason
    2) the freemasons are not connected to the illuminati
    3) there is no illuminati – that fraternity died out within 10 years of being founded, over 200 years ago, and was never associated with freemasonry

    to some others:

    * you have to ask to join, freemasonry will not ask you
