The list of the infamous heavily “anti-catholic” movies that may have shocked and offended vatican. Add more?

Here’s the short list of notorious films that had widely known are banned in few countries regarding certain issues in it.

In addition to being denounced by church (particularly vatican authority) following the desecration of jesus christ and christianity which had depicted explicitly in respective movies. Some audience might have found these films “excruciatingly blasphemy”.

1.Viridiana (1961/ Spain-Mexico/ dir: Luis Bunuel)
Satirized “The Last Supper” from the new testament

2.The Devils (1971/England/dir:Ken Russell)
Depicting sex crazed-naked nuns who being sexually obsessed
with jesus then assaulting a statue of christ and masturbating. Plus of
course the disturbing “Rape of Christ” sequence.

3.The Exorcist (1973/USA/dir:William Friedkin)
Mainly,this film was contained “constant attack” toward church and
christian belief (primarily bible and jesus). it’s including when the possessed child, regan,who constantly shouted at jesus in derogatory terms.

4.Da Vinci Code (2006/USA/dir:Ron Howard)
Discovering the truth that had been buried beneath the church for so
long,including jesus’s true identity ; some well-organized underground
groups such as freemason and knights of templar and how big the role
they have played to cover up vatican’s lies ; ‘new world order’ conspiracy ; etc.

So,How did you guys find that film,in your personal opinion? and anyone could add more in this list? Thx

    “The Magdalene Sisters” which related the real life experiences and abuse stories of teenage girls sent to Catholic run homes for difficult, wayward, or ‘fallen’ teens in Ireland. I haven’t seen some of the other films you list but “The Exorcist” I remember thinking was scary and freaky when I saw it at nine and lame and disappointing when I saw it again in my late teens.

    these tv series produced by either david .e kelly and jerry bruickmeir who are well known as catholic haters,some have a definite anti catholic agenda to them, and no doubt there are others
