The first one was published literally days after the fraternity was first officially organized in 1717, thousands have followed since. Like others have said, no one wants to read the true ones, but they are out there.

Lots of books about Freemasonry. No one wants to read the accurate books, they only want to read the ones full of conspiracy garbage.

It’s too bad you can’t disguise yourself as guy and go under cover. Could you imagine how much press and book deals you would get if you discovered something juicy while you were undercover? Of course unless you have masculine traits or a good make-up artist there’s no way a girl could pass for a guy.

Then again, maybe there’s nothing to dig up. I don’t know much about the freemasons, but if there was something buzz worthy I’m sure they’d be all over the news and the punchline to many comedian jokes. Look at the Mormons and the Jehovah’s witness they have been the source of tons of bad publicity and media speculation.

Maybe you could just interview someone from the free masons. I’m sure there would be no harm in that–even though you are a girl. This is very interesting question. It’s refreshing to come across something different.

If the mason thing really intrigues you, then why not go to the source, and ASK MASONS?

Tell all books would be very boring as there is really nothing that goes on within a lodge that is noteworthy to anyone other than masons. Conspiracy theories are a lot more interesting, and a lot more fun than the truth.

Work your way up? As there are no ranks in masonry, and all master masons are 3rd degree, it’s academic.

there have been “tell-all” books around for 300 years, some are lies some accurate.

there is nothing to “betray” in freemasonry, they are a fraternity that is all.

i agree with eric, the truth doesn’t sell, dan brown sells.
